About This Training

This 2-hour continuing education course provides Certified Recovery Peer Advocates (CRPA) and Certified Addiction Recovery Coaches (CARC) with practical guidance on documentation that aligns with peer ethics and role standards. Participants will learn what to include—and what to omit—when writing peer notes, as well as how peer documentation differs from clinical or therapeutic records. The course emphasizes confidentiality, accuracy, and person-centered language, helping participants develop documentation skills that reflect ethical practice and support accountability, transparency, and respect for those they serve.
