CCAR (Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery) peer ethics focus on integrity, dignity, and empowerment in recovery support, emphasizing putting one's own recovery first, avoiding exploitation or harassment, respecting diverse pathways, maintaining confidentiality, and acting as a positive ambassador for the recovery movement by focusing on strengths and hope. Key principles include maintaining high standards, avoiding conflicts of interest, resisting gossip, and ensuring actions reflect positively on the broader recovery community. This course covers the required 16 hour ethics needed for CRPA and CARC certification in NY state.
